Proud Corporate Partner of SickKids

  May 4, 2013

The most priceless moments are the times we spend with our children. The bonds inspire us to move forward and build bright futures for our loved ones. When the health of a child is at risk, it affects us all in small ways. We empathize for the parents and for the family and hope they are given the help they need for the child to become healthy and happy again. This hope is what the SickKids Foundation has brought to millions of children and families around the world.

The SickKids Foundation was created in the '70's, in association with the University of Toronto, to generate funds for The Hospital for Sick Children. Since then, they have grown significantly and receive support from over 265,000 donors. The compassion of these donors assists in finding cures and assisting more than 100,000 children a year.

The SickKids Foundation services an average of 281 patients a day and last year alone, had 11,905 operating room surgeries and 6,799 inpatient surgeries. The 2011-2012 year was a leading year for SickKids; investing $61.3 million in research for children's health and child care. A great milestone for a non-profit organization based off the love and charity of others.

Every time we, as a community, donate to the SickKids Foundation, we fund groundbreaking research for cures and treatments that help serve and care for sick children and their families. The SickKids Foundation needs continued support from our caring community to continue its growth in spreading hope, strengthening bonds and touching lives around the world. There are so many ways to help and getting involved is easier than people think.

At Kleenway, we believe community involvement is of the utmost importance and to this end Kleenway has become a proud partner in hope as a corporate partner of the SickKids Foundation.

“Community” is a just a bigger word for “family”, and families take care of one another. We value giving cheerfully, and are proud to support a cause that is making a heart-felt difference in Toronto and around the world.
